3. Indications for Use.

Bacterial infections, provoked by causative agents sensitive to this drug: pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis, otitis, angina, pyelonephritis, urethritis, gonorrhea, colibacillosis.
The drug is used in integrated treatment of chronic gastritis in aggravation period, likewise in gastric and duodenal ulcer in aggravation period, associated with Helicobacter pylorii.

4. Action

Pluripotential antibiotic of bactericidal performance. It is active in regard of gram-positive, gram-negative aerobic microorganisms and bacteria.

5. Posology and Administration

Dosage regimen is to be established individually, with consideration of the severity of disease process, sensitivity of the causative agent to the drug and the patient’s age.
When oral intake a single-shot dose for adults and children of more than 10 years of age (with the body mass more than 40 kg) is 250-500 mg, when severe process of disease it should be up to 1 g. For children of 5-10 years of age a single-shot dose is 250 mg; whereas for children from 2 to 5 years of age it will be 125 mg; for children up to 2 years of age it is administered in a daily dose 20 mg/kg of the body mass. For adults and children an interval between intakes is 8 hours. For the treatment of acute non-aggravated gonorrhea a single-shot dose of 3 g is to be administered, it is well to administer 1 g of Probenecide at the same tine, for women the indicated dose should be repeated. In patients with compromised kidney function when КК is 15-40 ml/min an interval between intakes should be increased up to 12 hours; in case of anuria a dose should not exceed 2 g/daily.
    

6. Counterindications

Infectious mononucleosis. Hypersensitivity to the active substance within Amoxycillin.

Caution is needed while administration of the drug to allergy-apt patients.
Patients with evidenced kidney failure (КК 15-40) a single-shot dose should be reduced, or an interval between the drug intakes should be increased up to 12 hours. In anuria case a dose should not be bigger than 2 g daily.

8. Interface with Other Medications

The drug should be taken and/or be combined with any medication only on doctor’s order. Take your doctor’s advice if you use some other medicines.

9. Overdosing

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, disorder of water balance (as a consequence of vomiting and diarrhea).

10. Side Effects

In separate cases of hypersensitivity allergic reactions are possible: hives, erythema, rhinitis, conjunctivitis; less frequently – fever, pains in junctions, eosinophilia; quite seldom – anaphylactic shock.
On the part of intestinal tract: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, sometimes pains in stomach are possible.

In pregnancy and lactation the drug is used on life-saving basis with respect to expected effect for the mother and potential risk for the fetus or the baby.
