3. Indications for Use.
- decrease of symptoms of osteoarthritis (arthritis due to age changes of bones and junctions);
- decrease of symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis in adults;
- decrease of pains in adults (such as a short-termed pain, which may emerge after dental or general surgery);
- treatment of painful menstrual cycles;
- decrease of the number of polyps in a large intestine and in a straight one in patients with a family form of adenomatous polyposis, likewise with diseases when a straight intestine and a large one are covered with multiple polyps.

4. Action
Painrelief and anti-inflammatory remedy.
Celecoxib is able to decrease the frankness of pains in junctions, their stiffness and swell, frankness of pain in junctions, likewise improve functional ability of junctions in patients who suffer of osteosrthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

5. Posology and Administration
For osteoarthritis: 200 mg once a day or 100 mg twice a day
For rheumatoid arthritis: 100 – 200 mg twice a day.
For pain a starting dose is 400 mg, then 200 mg twice a day, if necessary.

6. Counterindications
Do not take Celebrex if you:
- have ever had an allergic reaction for sulfo-drugs;
- have ever had asthma, hives or allergic reactions after intake of aspirin or other non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs, or selectively cyclooxigenasa-2;
- have kidney diseases;
- are pregnant, especially in the last three months of pregnancy.
Aspirin sensitive patients also should not take Celebrex, as it may result in severe diminuition of airways (bronchospasm) and even to death.

7. Should Be Taken with Precautions, if…
- you are going to be pregnant, you are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- you have or had stenocardia, heart attack or blocked artery in your heart;
- you have kidney problems;
- you have liver problems;
- you have heart failure;
- you have high arterial tension;
- you have liquid retention or hydrops;
- you have allergic reaction on aspirin or other non-steroid anti-inflammatory remedies;
- you had serious stomach problems in the past;
- you had or you have any other medicinal problems.

8. Interface with Other Medications
Tell your doctor about all medications which you have taken or take now, including prescription and non-prescription drugs, vitamins and grass additives. As in the case with many drugs, interface of Celebrex with other medications may lead to unwanted consequences, such as aggravation of side effects, weakened performance of a medicine.

9. Overdosing
Clinical data on overdosing are restricted. Volunteers take Celebrex in doses up to 1200 mg once and twice a day, repeatedly without developing of clinically important side effects. If overdosing is suspected you should call a doctor right away.

10. Side Effects
- gastropathy, pain in stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, anorexia, diarrhea;
- headache, dizziness, sleepiness or insomnia, depression, agitation
- hearing loop, buzzing in ears
- rise of arterial tension, tachicardia
- decrease of sustainability to infections of respiratory passages (sinusitis, rhinitis, pharygintis), ache in throat, cough, labored breathing, bronchospasm.
- renal failure, edema syndrome;
- skin rash, hives;
- alopecia, elevated perspiration, a womb bleeding and a hemorrhoid one.
In long-termed use in big doses it may be ulceration of mucosa of the bowels, intestinal bleeding, bleeding from gums, and distortion of liver function.
Celebrex may provoke retaining of liquid or development of hydrops. It is especially serious if you have high arterial tension or renal failure.

11. Pregnancy and Lactation
Do not take Celebrex in the last three months, as it may be harmful to your baby. Tell you doctor if you are pregnant or plan to be pregnant. If it is necessary to use Celebrex in lactation period you may need to think over whether it is necessary to stop breastfeading.

12. Driving
The drug is not likely to influence the ability to drive or work with potentially dangerous mechanisms.
